This delightful property sleeping four is perfectly placed for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers to explore the glorious North Cornwall coast and surrounding countryside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. One of a secluded group of converted barns, the property is on the edge of Bodmin Moor, a designated Dark Sky area. Climb the moorland path to Cornwall’s highest point, the 420m Brown Willy (4.5 miles away) for spectacular views. Or take a walk or bike ride along the nearby Camel Trail (1 mile), a former railway line that runs 17 miles through lovely country to Padstow. Otterbridge has been recognised by We Are Cycling UK as a Cycle Friendly Place and is even part of a Strava segment! Bikes are for hire locally and a riding school offers pony-trekking for all ages over five. The barn is within a mile of a village store at St Tudy, pub at St Breward and cafe and there are more shops and places to eat in Port Isaac (9 miles). Enjoy a stroll around this pretty seaside fishing village, seen on TV in the popular Doc Martin series, and discover the splendid surf and sand beach at Trebarwith Strand (8.5 miles).
An open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen with lovely country views is full of character and charm, with beams, a wood burner and comfortable seating. A Smart TV and Bluetooth speakers provide home entertainment and there’s a handy tide clock to help guests plan trips to the coast. Both bedrooms are king-size, with a Smart TV and DVD player. One of the bedrooms can also be made into twin 2′6” beds. Both have Hypnos mattresses, designed to promote better sleep and clock radio docks. A streamlined bathroom has a thermostatic rain shower and WC.
Outside, there’s an enclosed patio at the rear and another in the pretty front garden area with a table, chairs, and BBQ.
