This luxurious seven-bed, detached cottage, built in 1868, which is located in a peaceful Cornish village near the coast, is perfect for celebratory gatherings for a group of friends or families. The village of Paul has a lovely local pub to visit for a meal out. If you need to visit a shop, the nearest is in the neighbouring seafront village of Mousehole (0.5 miles) where you can also find a handful of cafes, restaurants and art galleries. The lively town of Penzance is 2.5 miles away where you can explore different gardens or visit the theatre. Or spend a day on the tranquil Lamorna Cove Beach (3.5 miles) and Long Rock Beach (6 miles).

As you approach the entrance to this elegant property, you’ll be greeted with an impressive pillared porch. Gather your guests in the lounge, which is decorated with bold, royal colours and plush decor. Sit around the majestic open fire with the glow of the chandelier illuminating the room. In the daytime, plenty of natural light streams in through the large bay window. In addition to the main lounge, there’s another sitting room with more comfortable seating, an open fire and a baby grand piano. The luxurious feel flows through the cottage into every room. Inside the kitchen diner, you’ll find a contrast between the rustic, traditional features and bright and contemporary touches. The exposed stone walls ooze character and the vibrant kitchen units add an element of fun while preparing big home-cooked meals for your guests. Sit around the long dining table and enjoy a special meal together. To the side of the dining table, there’s also a delightful rattan furniture set surrounding a small coffee table, which is the perfect palace for enjoying a spot of afternoon tea or coffee in the morning. In addition to these fabulous spaces, there’s also a cosy playroom with vintage and quirky furniture. Walk through the double doors of this room and you’ll enter the impressive pool room, which has a heated swimming pool for you to use whenever you desire. Climb up the stairs in the hallway to reach the first floor, where you’ll discover seven bedrooms, two bathrooms and a cloakroom with a WC. The master bedroom is romantic and spacious with a plush king-size bed, wooden furnishings and its own shower. There are two twin rooms, a single bedroom, one room with a bunk bed and another with a larger single bed. Both bathrooms have baths and one of them also has a shower cubicle.

The garden is expansive and well-manicured, with plenty of space to roam around and enjoy some peace and quiet. There’s an orchard and garden furniture for hosting a dinner party for your guests outside.

Large spacious house that facilitated both social and practical requirements needed for our stay. It has a great location being only half an hour from the Minack theatre as well as having easy access to Newlyn, Penzance & Mousehole. We would thoroughly recommend for anyone thinking of holidaying in the region as a large group - particularly as the Read morekitchen has a large dining table fit for card games, catering and socialising after a long day adventuring across the surrounding area. Super large property, great for extended family stays with good car parking. Brilliant location for West Cornwall beaches and attractions. Lovely village of Paul with excellent Kings Arms pub and fine old church.

We had a wonderful family holiday and were very happy to have so much space and the pool. The garden was much smaller than we thought and only a tiny part was secure for children and dogs and we had not realised we were so close to neighbouring properties. Having said all of this we had a marvellous time together and worked around any difficulties.Read more The lady who looks after the property, Paula, was so friendly and helpful. I hope our feedback helps you. The house has so much old world charm and we would return. Hide
