This luxurious two-bedroom cottage features modern renovation throughout, benefiting from contemporary charm and direct access down to an iconic harbour. A sanctuary for a quiet seaside getaway. Comprised of bustling narrow streets filled with small shops, galleries and cafes, the fishing village of Mousehole 0.5 miles away is bursting with charm. Sail from Newlyn Harbour 1.5 miles away around Mount’s Bay on a boat tour run by a local skipper with Cormorant Cruising and enjoy the gorgeous West Cornwall scenery and its Maritime history. Further afield, perched on the granite cliffside, sloping steeply down to the sea, discover The Minack 9 miles away, a spectacular open-air theatre with superb sea views out to Porthcurno Bay towards craggy headlands, with the Lizard peninsula on the horizon. Off the coast of Marazion, explore the famous rocky castle-topped island of St Michael’s Mount (8 miles) boasting breathtaking sea views.

Through the rustic cottage front door, you’re welcomed into a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining area featuring a light neutral palette, setting the calm, cosy aesthetic of the whole cottage. The kitchen features a mix of granite and oak worktops, as well as all modern appliances and feature butler’s sink. The dining area at the rear of the space is flooded by natural light from the gorgeous glass patio door, making the farmhouse-style wooden dining table and chairs the perfect light, bright space to socialise. There is also a handy utility room with even more appliances plus a WC. The first floor comprises a beautiful living room adorned with the same soft neutral palette as downstairs. Large fabric sofas wrap around an original exposed stone and granite fireplace housing a wood burner, creating a perfectly cosy atmosphere. Up to the final floor, you’ll find a double bedroom with beautiful original wooden flooring and stunning sea views overlooking the harbour, as well as a sweet twin room. The wooden floor is carried through to the ultra-modern bathroom featuring a rainfall shower in the bath and WC.

A cute farmhouse-style door opens out onto a gorgeous, enclosed courtyard garden featuring driftwood decking keeping the area traditionally coastal. High climbing foliage encloses the area to create the perfect suntrap for catching stunning sunsets or dining alfresco.

The cottage is beautiful, quirky and in a beautiful location. The outside garden area is a bonus and a lovely little sun trap! The cottage is very well equipped with lots of attention to detail.

As soon as we'd unpacked we settled down to the unexpected treat of the cream tea and realised we'd stupidly locked ourselves in to the courtyard without a key. A simple What's App call and you rescued us. An immediate demonstration that you really have thought of everything. Beautiful cottage, beautifully furnished and maintained. Thank you to eveRead moreryone who's given us such a lovely week here. Hide

This is our second stay at Seahorse Cottage and it didn't disappoint. Mousehole is such a calm and relaxing place and we had a great time. Been able to relax after a busy few months. Seahorse has everything you could wish for in a cosy home from home. We would have loved to stay longer. Next time!
