The beautiful holiday home is set in the picturesque old fishing village of Porthleven, and overlooks its rugged sand and shingle beach. Sleeping three guests, the property makes a wonderful romantic retreat or coastal escape for a small family. With far-reaching views out to sea and along the coast, it’s the perfect place to swich off and connect with nature. Wander out your front door and onto the beach, where you can enjoy long walks along the sand to Loe Bar and the National Trust Penrose Estate. The South West Coast Path also passes through the village, providing dramatic clifftop paths and jaw-dropping scenery. The village itself is largely unspoilt, with cute cottages nestled around a picture-postcard harbour. Take the time to explore the local arts and crafts shops and eat in the independent restaurants, many of which serve fresh seafood and traditional Cornish dishes. The cottage is well placed for exploring some of Cornwall’s top attractions, with St Michael’s Mount (8.5 miles) and Lizard Point (14 miles) within easy reach.
The seaside retreat has a reverse-level layout, to really make the most of the far-reaching coastal views. As you enter the ground floor, you’ll discover the dual-aspect king-size bedroom, where you can enjoy a peaceful night’s rest and wake up to the sound of the waves rolling into shore. A stylish single bedroom is also located on this level, along with a chic bathroom. Heading upstairs, discover a fabulous open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The space is decorated in cool tones, with little flashes of turquoise and aquamarine, to reflect the stunning surroundings. Dine by the window overlooking Mount’s Bay, before retiring to the comfortable seating for a movie night in front of the SkyTV.
There is no outdoor space with this property. However, steps outside the front door lead directly onto the 3-mile stretch of sand and shingle, providing you with ample space to stretch your legs and fill your lungs with fresh, sea air.
