This spectacular holiday home, set across three levels, sits high on the cliff above Porthleven beach. The property sleeps six guests and has large, sociable rooms that are ideal for entertaining, as well as a spacious outdoor area. It’s the perfect seaside retreat for family get-togethers and holidays with friends. Porthleven is a traditional Cornish fishing village, full of character and charm. Potter amongst its narrow streets, popping into the local arts and crafts shops, and dining in one of the independent eateries, many of which serve freshly-caught seafood. The village has a sand and shingle beach and at low tide you can enjoy beautiful walks to Loe Bar and the Penrose Estate. The family-friendly beach at Praa Sands is just 5 miles away. The idyllic white sandy beach is backed by dunes and has calm waters that are perfect for bathing. Head to Marazion (8 miles) to catch a boat across to St Michael’s Mount for a day exploring the medieval church and castle, or enjoy a family day out to the much-loved Flambards Theme Park, just 3.5 miles from the property.
Steps lead down from the parking area to the front door of this stunning property. Walk through the entrance hall and into the impressive first-floor lounge. This contemporary space is flooded with natural light, thanks to floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, leading out onto the balcony. There is ample seating for everyone, arranged around a Smart TV/DVD and cosy wood burner, for those cooler nights. Stairs lead down from here to the spacious kitchen/diner where there is room for everyone to sit around the dining table. On a summer’s day, throw open the sliding doors to the decked area for a spot of indoor/outdoor dining. On this level, you’ll find a king-size bedroom, also with access to the decked area, along with a stylish shower room. The remaining bedrooms – a double and a twin - can be found on the second floor and both have en-suite facilities. As these bedrooms are located in the eaves, you can expect sloping ceilings and slight restricted head height in some areas.
Outside, the property has a glass-fronted enclosed balcony off the lounge with stunning sea views. There’s also a large, decked area off the kitchen/diner with outdoor seating where you can fire up the BBQ and enjoy evenings of al fresco dining in a prime position to watch Porthleven’s iconic sunsets.
