Located in the heart of Helford village, this beautifully appointed, characterful cottage, is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing, riverside getaway. Helford itself has a pub, cafe and village shop, but the real draw here is the abundance of wildlife and stunning landscapes. Just 8 miles away is the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. You can jump on the ferry from Helford to go over to Helford Passage Beach. Many guests also come for the South West Coast Path which runs through Helford itself.
Inside, the cottage’s stable door opens into the dining room that is partially partitioned from the sitting room. Guests can enjoy cosy nights by the wood burner and relax watching TV should they wish. The lobby beyond the sitting room leads to a handy utility room, downstairs bathroom and a second sitting room with its own sofa. The ground floor is also home to the charming kitchen with an electric AGA. There's a breakfast bar and table and chairs, giving you further options when it's time to sit down to eat. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king-size bed and vaulted ceiling, but the selling point of this room is the quaint alcove with its own armchair perfect for reading and enjoying the views. The other two bedrooms are both twin rooms which benefit from plenty of natural light.
Outside, you can enjoy views down to the river from the delightful, south-east facing elevated terrace, with its own garden furniture and BBQ. Behind the property is a larger terraced garden with a picnic table and yet more great views. Across the lane from the cottage is a slipway for launching boats at high tide. There is also a small lawned area right by the riverside with a bench - yet another lovely spot to enjoy the property’s second-to-none location.
