A charming fisherman's cottage named after two sisters Poppy and Gayle, this is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday for families, couples or friends. Situated on the river at Helford, there are many walks to explore nearby, such as Frenchman's Creek (3 miles), made famous by the writer Daphne Du Maurier. Nearby, you will find the beautiful Cornish coastline with Pendennis Point (20 miles), Trebah Garden and Trebah Beach (14 miles) and Bream Cove (15 miles) well worth a visit. Alternatively, discover the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (8.5 miles) or learn about the local history at the Poldark Mine and The Cornish Heritage Collection (13.5 miles).
This is a distinctive cottage with cosy rooms and great attention to detail. You enter the house into the sitting room featuring a comfortable sofa and chairs and an attractive stone inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. This is a lovely space in which to relax after a busy day. Two slate steps lead into the bright and spacious kitchen with granite worktops and a dining table overlooking the river. A stable door leads out into the private garden. Upstairs from the living room are two bedrooms - a double with an en-suite shower and WC, and a twin with river views. There is an additional bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.
Outside, a patio, that is elevated over the lane below, has outdoor furniture and offers picturesque views of the river.
