Alternatively, discover the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (8.5 miles) or learn about the local history at the Poldark Mine and The Cornish Heritage Collection (13.5 miles).

This is a distinctive cottage with cosy rooms and great attention to detail. You enter the house into the sitting room featuring a comfortable sofa and chairs and an attractive stone inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. We love Popigale (and Helford). Its been our family retreat for many, many years. We have just spent another thoroughly enjoyable week there and enjoyed fabulous weather (for January) including a beautiful sunny day for walking the SWCP, in short sleeves! Even though January is a quiet month for eating out it was entirely made up for by the quiRead moreet roads and paths and some tasty pub lunches (plus lots of pasties). Unfortunately the Shipwrights closed on the Sunday for a holiday which was a shame but we understand everyone needs a holiday! We managed to get the best Sunday lunch there before they closed, definitely recommended! We visited so lots of local beaches and villages, I never ever get tired of a Cornish Cove or coast path. Thank you for offering this gem!! Hide

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday in this delightful cosy cottage. All our comforts and needs were catered for to a high standard, we felt truly spoilt spending time in this unique little gem. The location is outstanding, with gorgeous views across the Helford Estuary. It offered peace and tranquility to relax and unwind away from the hustlRead moree and bustle of daily life, but should you fancy a bit of life and a good chat with the locals, the cosy village pub is a stones throw from the cottage and offers a great atmosphere and delicious food. There are so many wonderful walks on the doorstep so it's the perfect place to bring your waggy tailed friends. There are also fabulous walks and places to visit slightly further afield, just minutes away by car. We have had the most fabulous New Years week away in this quaint cottage and idyllic village and we look forward to returning one day soon. Thank you so much for making it all so perfect! Hide
