For a coastal holiday with friends or family, stay at this stunning traditional home in pretty St Margaret’s Bay in Sussex. This seaside village is located in the heart of White Cliffs Country. You’ll be under 1 mile from the beach, accessed via a road that zig-zags down the cliff. There are plenty of pubs for enjoying a meal or drink in the surrounding area, including one on the seafront. During your trip, you could walk along the cliff tops to the pearly white South Foreland Lighthouse (1.5 miles), a National Trust property with a 1950s tearoom.
Access to the property is via steep steps leading up from the road. On entering, there’s a hallway leading to the downstairs rooms, starting with the cosy lounge which has a bay window with sea views, comfortable seating and a Smart TV. There’s also a well-equipped kitchen with a wooden table and chairs for four. A separate dining room contains a table and chairs for six and a gorgeous vintage sideboard. Also on the ground floor, you’ll have a utility room, with extra appliances including a washing machine, as well as a door to the garden. There’s also a ground-floor shower room with a WC. The bedrooms are on the first floor – a king-size with a large mirror and a triple with a double bed and a single bed. There is also a z-bed that’s suitable for an additional child. Both rooms have access to the lookout, a glass-fronted space with two easy chairs where you can sit and enjoy the panoramic views. The family bathroom, which has a shower over the bath, is on this floor, as well as a separate WC.
To the back of the property, brick stairs lead up to a large lawn. There’s a sunken paved area with garden furniture including three sun loungers. You can also enjoy the fresh air at the front of the house, where there’s a paved garden with rattan furniture.
