Located in one of the most picturesque coastal villages in North Devon and surrounded by dramatic Exmoor countryside, this recently refurbished cottage provides a delightful retreat for a couple or family. The twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth are connected by a Victorian-era water-powered cliff railway and are home to a wonderful selection of individual shops, cafes and restaurants. Charming Lynmouth harbour is surrounded by quaint fishing cottages and offers stunning views of high cliffs that tumble down to the sea. Walkers will be spoilt by the many coastal, countryside and river walks – the Valley of Rocks beauty spot, 1 mile west of Lynton, is famous for its herds of goats, geology, and stunning sunset views. Alternatively, journey back in time on the Lynton & Barnstaple Steam Railway for family fun. Further afield, the beautiful sandy beaches of Woolacombe and Croyde are both within 25 miles.
Dating back to the 1700s, this is a home full of personality, where stylish, modern finishes have been carefully integrated with many original features. The entrance can be found at the rear of the building with a stable door opening directly into the open-plan living area with feature wooden beams, a warming wood burner-effect electric fire and cushioned window seats to enjoy the river views. There is a well-designed kitchen, fully-equipped for all your culinary needs. A good-sized double room on the first floor offers lovely river views, and there’s a delightful shower room found adjacent. Steep stairs lead up to the second floor and open out into a twin, attic-style room with a sloping ceiling.
While there is no outside space, the lovely East Lynn River flows by and the sea is only half a mile away.
