Switch off and relax in this characterful rural cottage on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Sleeping three guests, it makes a great romantic retreat, or a base for a group of friends or small family. The property sits at the end of a 0.5-mile gated road, in the tiny hamlet of Twisleton. The popular village of Ingleton is just 1.5 miles away, and has a great selection of traditional pubs, tearooms, and restaurants. The village is predominantly known for its picturesque Waterfalls Trail, a 4-mile circular route that takes you beside rivers and through ancient woodland, providing jaw-dropping views of dramatic waterfalls along the way. The White Scar Cave is well worth adding to your itinerary during your stay. Just 2 miles from the cottage, you can explore the Ice Age cavern on a guided walk, taking you past underground streams and waterfalls, as well as prehistoric mud pools and thousands of stalactites. It really is a sight to behold. The holiday cottage is also a great base for those completing the three peaks challenge, with all three mountains within 12 miles of the property.
Enter the semi-detached property into the spacious kitchen/diner, where you’ll find a stylish kitchen and a farmhouse-style table to enjoy mealtimes together. After dinner, relax in the cosy lounge, warming your toes in front of the wood burner, catching up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV, or reading a book from the selection provided. Two steps take you up to the ground-floor bathroom. Heading upstairs, you’ll find the two inviting bedrooms – a double and a single – both decorated in calm, neutral tones for a good night’s rest.
Outside, an enclosed garden with spectacular rural views awaits. Take your morning coffee outside on the bench and soak up your peaceful surroundings, or catch a few rays on the lawn during the afternoon. There’s also secure storage for bikes.
