Property code: OC-1892

This idyllic holiday home is located in the quaint village of Stiffkey, just 3 miles from the sandy beaches of Norfolk’s north coast. The spacious cottage has a variety of social areas, including a gorgeous sunroom and cosy lounge/diner. Sleeping four guests, the cottage is perfect for couples and small families. Wander into Stiffkey’s centre (just 200 metres) to dine in the traditional pub or pick up some local produce for your supper from the charming village store. Pack your buckets and spades and head to the coast for a day at the seaside. The unspoilt sandy beach at Holkham (6.5 miles) is one of the region’s hidden gems, with a vast expanse of golden sand, backed by a majestic shallow lagoon. Spend a lazy afternoon pottering around the picturesque town of Burnham Market (9.5 miles), where you’ll find a fantastic selection of independent shops and eateries.

Tucked away behind a garden gate, you’ll find this idyllic Norfolk cottage. Creepers adorn the walls in the courtyard garden, and vibrant flowers lead you to the property’s front door. Once inside, a warm welcome awaits. The cosy cottage is bursting with character, with exposed beams and brickwork throughout, and a fabulous collection of interesting accessories and artwork. On the ground floor, you’ll find the open-plan lounge/diner, with a striking tiled floor and central wood burner. This is a lovely place to congregate in winter, for cosy nights on the sofa watching the TV/DVD or sharing memorable mealtimes around the dining table. Alternatively, spend time relaxing in the second lounge/sunroom, reading a book under the impressive, pitched glass roof or catching up with your favourite programmes on the TV/DVD. Completing the ground floor is the family bathroom. Upstairs, you’ll find a king-size and double bedroom, both decorated in neutral tones and featuring pretty soft furnishings. Due to this being a period property, some of the rooms have sloping ceilings, low beams, and restricted head height.

The courtyard garden is a real suntrap and is a fabulous place to sit with a glass of wine, or to fire up the BBQ for a spot of al fresco dining. It’s also a fully-enclosed space, so canine guests can stretch their legs or find a shady spot for a little siesta.

A comfy cottage with a lot of charme. We especially liked the wintergarden and the outdoor area. A perfect spot for walks along the salt marshes and for daytrips along the coast.

Perfect location close to the beach and pub etc. The cottage has everything you need, is very comfortable and full of character. Claire the housekeeper was really helpful and friendly. The information received from Original Cottages prior to our stay was really good.

Cottage with charm in a good location, could be cleaner but has lots of character and a pretty spot outside to sit and eat. Wonderful to access the coast walk and marshes just at the end of the cul de sac. Be aware the cottage is on the coast road so you do hear the traffic noise. Bus stop for coastal hopper is right outside, useful. Note second beRead moredroom very tight with double bed pressed against wall and door not able to open fully. Conservatory space comfy and spacious, too hot to sit in on a sunny day, but the interior sitting room is cool at that time. Hide

Great cottage - lots of character. In an excellent location. We loved being able to walk down to the coast path at the bottom of the road, and walk on either to Wells, or the other way, to Morston and Blakeney. Also near very good pub - Red Lion.

Lovely cottage in a good location, walking distance to pub with great food. Nice area to sit outside with sun morning to evening. Great sun room for bad weather. Unfortunately there was a massive lack of cleanliness and lots of cobwebs which was very disappointing.

Lovely cottage and location. Well equipped, homely and comfortable. Overall cleanliness was good but lots of dust webs above eye level, not an issue particularly but thought I'd mention it.
