Tucked away in a scenic village, this one-bedroom cottage has been sensitively renovated and thoughtfully furnished to provide the ultimate serene and cosy bolthole for exploring the superb coastline. Benhall is a small, quiet village situated on the edge of the Suffolk Heritage Coast and Heaths district, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Explore the world-renowned seaside neighbouring town of Aldeburgh, boasting a 19th-century promenade, pebbled beach with fishermen’s huts selling the daily catch and the award-winning Aldeburgh Treasure Trail (7 miles). Take a walk through the area’s colourful past at Framlingham Castle, 9 miles away, a magnificent 12th-century fortress surrounded by parkland and a picturesque lake. Or head to the coastal lagoons to discover some of the UK's rarest wildlife at RSPB Minsmere National Reserve, 9 miles away.

Situated next door to the owner’s property and up a few steps, the cottage welcomes you straight into the spacious kitchen/diner, well-equipped with everything you need to cater – complete with country-style table and chairs and characterful exposed wooden ceiling beams. The rear of the cottage opens out into a bright and airy living room, complemented by plenty of comfortable seating, a TV/DVD, a characterful exposed timber frame, and a cosy wood burner. A wonderful suntrap conservatory provides more relaxed seating and laundry facilities. Upstairs comprises a spacious king-size bedroom with the same delightful features and traditional decor as downstairs.

Outside, a large patio garden with a raised fishpond and pergola awaits, enclosed by wooden fencing, perfect for private al fresco dining or catching the summer sun. There is also bike storage available in the large shed situated in the garden.

Very comfortable accommodation. Lots of positives - a character property, nicely furnished and good outside space. There are some steps inside, between rooms. Very spacious and well equipped. Maps supplied were very useful.

Really lovely house and garden. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Great location for inland or coastal visits.

The cottage was really appealing with lots of character. It's location is brilliant for travelling and access around Suffolk. The village, Benhall Green is lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the accommodation to any future holiday makers. We enjoyed meals at local inns and there is a fantastic farm shop 5 mins away. Rosie Read more( our Cocker Spaniel)and I enjoyed our morning and evening walks exploring the vilage and the green spaces where Rosie could run "off lead" Hide

We had a very enjoyable stay here. Location was perfect for us and easy to find. Cottage is very spacious and clean. Kitchen well equipped and the garden is lovely. Heating was very efficient but would like to come back at another time of year though to fully appreciate the garden and conservatory! Would recommend.

Well-situated with great access to the A12 and all routes towards the coast. The cottage is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax and well-equipped. The owners very welcoming and helpful.

Ideally situated between Saxmundham and Snape, so a great place from which to explore this part of Suffolk. This is a comfortable, well-appointed and peaceful cottage.

Our hosts had made the cottage very Christmassy as we stayed near to Christmas time. Such a warm and welcoming sight! Greeted us on our arrival, a very frosty night.
