Property code: OC-BOW24

Located on a farm in the heart of the national park, this is self-catering in Snowdonia at its very best. Your detached cottage enjoys a peaceful setting on the outskirts of Pant Glas, a small hamlet that's central to the major attractions of North Wales, including Porthmadog (9 miles), Caernarfon (10 miles) and Pwllheli (11.5 miles), as well as Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. Surrounded by majestic landscapes, and with wondrous walks and cycle routes from the doorstep – including Cricieth Castle, Caernarfon Castle, golden beaches and narrow-gauge railways all within 10 miles – this really is an excellent base for your holiday in North Wales. Another major attraction in the area is the Zip Wire and, again, your cottage is central to the Bethesda and Blaenau Ffestiniog venues (both 21.5 miles). Bethesda offers the longest and fastest zip ride in Europe whilst Blaenau Ffestiniog is home to Bounce Below, the only subterranean playground of its kind, and the Slate Caverns.

This is an excellent property for six in the heart of Snowdonia. Climb the two steps to the patio and then a further three steps to enter the cottage. You’ll find a modern and comfortable open-plan living area that welcomes you as you step inside, while the inviting three-piece suite, TV and wood burner encourage you to relax from the moment you arrive. The beautiful, fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed to cater for your group and there’s a dining table in this space too. Two steps lead from the living area to the ground-floor bedrooms, shower room and utility room, the latter of which includes a washing machine, tumble dryer, storage space and coat hooks. Two of the three bedrooms are on this floor: one with a super-king-size bed which can be arranged as a twin on request, and a double with a TV and dressing table. The stylish shower room completes the floor. Heading towards the final bedroom, you’ll be impressed before you even get there as you move up the attractive staircase. This beautiful, modern and spacious room includes a sumptuous super-king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom.

The private, enclosed garden is a place to relax and enjoy expansive views of the majestic Snowdonia landscape. A garden table and chairs and a gas BBQ stove are also provided for peaceful al fresco dining.

  • 3 bedrooms – 2 super-king-size (1 can be arranged as a twin on request) and 1 double

Cottage is well laid out and comfortably furnished and in an ideal location, though the overall cleanliness could be improved. Kitchen floor was sticky as were the place mats, for example. Owner was friendly and helpful.

A home from home with every comfort and just right for our family of 4 adults and two older children. An excellent situation, being close to Caernarfon, Porthmadog, Criccieth, Anglesey and the Snowdonia National Park. Nesta and family were excellent hosts! We hope to see you again. Thank you! A lovely bright, well equipped spacious cottage, in an excellent location. The weather meant we couldn't explore Snowdonia or go hiking, but there was plenty to see and do - castles, gardens & coastline, all easily accessible from the cottage. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. A lovely place to explore the area.
