This charming traditional cottage offers a lovely coastal retreat for a couple or small family looking to explore Fowey and the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The ancient fishing port of Fowey makes a wonderful base for exploring the region and there’s plenty to do right on your doorstep, including quirky shops and boutiques, a bustling harbour, aquarium, delicious local restaurants, and the Daphne Du Maurier Literary Centre. The sandy beach at Readymoney Cove is just a mile away, and if you’re feeling active, you can indulge in water sports or take advantage of the many hiking routes, including the South West Coast Path which passes through the town. Venture out to explore the tidal creeks, rolling hills and rugged cliffs of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and see two of Cornwall’s most famous attractions, the Eden Project (9 miles) and the Lost Gardens of Heligan (15 miles).

This quaint two-storey cottage is light and spacious, with a subtle nautical theme throughout. Step off the street directly into the bright and airy, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge has twin sofas arranged around a feature electric fire and TV, with an open staircase dividing this space from the adjoining dining area, which has a family dining table next to a wood burner. We had a wonderful stay, the cottage is in a excellent position with just a short walk to shops, restaurants, bars. Fowey is a beautiful area and we used it as a base to visit all the surrounding areas ie: Polruan, Looe, Polperro, Mevagissey, Par beach and St Ives.

Cottage is lovely and is exactly what you would expect. Decisions around location and light were our fault and not the property. Accommodation was comfortable and clean, but would not recommend for Children with the different floor levels and narrow staircase. For us it was fine. We had a nice time

We loved this cottage. Great spot in the heart of the village with all mod cons. The bed was extremely comfy so a good night sleep was guaranteed making it difficult to get up in the morning, well we were on holiday.

Lovely cottage, clean and comfortable and everything you need for a stay here. It is in a great location, just a short walk into the center of Fowey, with lots of great choices for eating out. The car park was just a few minutes walk away and we had no issues with parking there.

Ideal location, near the centre of Fowey. Good dog beaches not too far away (but check for any seasonal restrictions). Great local walks. River views and seating about 20 meters away. Long stay car park a 5 minute walk away. Check Cornwall Council web site for a County Parking Rover permit, which are valid in other long stay car parks. They are aboRead moreut 5 more expensive than the weekly permit that is restricted to just the local car park. House was clean and comfortable, although sofas with a higher backrest would be lovely! This is a property that I can easily recommend. The house was exceptionally clean and well equipped with easy access into town. For a good nights sleep, the beds are good quality and extremely comfortable. Another plus is the size of the bathroom and the power shower. On arrival we soon discovered that we had an issue with our heating and hot wateRead morer supply. Cornish Horizons were quick to respond and sorted out the problem immediately. I would certainly stay at 45 North Street again. Although it doesnt have a view, it is cosy for winter breaks. Summertime, when residents are out and about during the day, it would be a comfortable place to come home to and to freshen up before wandering into town to try out one of the excellent eateries, Sams, Brown sugar, The Ship Inn to name but a few. .
