Property code: OC-CHYEAS

This cosy Cornish semi-detached cottage occupies a prime location overlooking iconic St Michael’s Mount, making this an ideal romantic bolthole for two within easy reach of the region’s many attractions. The quaint market town of Marazion claims to be one of the oldest in Cornwall. It’s best known as the gateway to St Michael’s Mount, a romantic castle perched atop an ancient mount, located 500 metres from the coast. Follow in the footsteps of pilgrims and walk the causeway or take the ferry over to explore. It’s also home to one of the most beautiful bays in the country with clean, safe beaches and abundant water sports. The area is rich with walking trails and perfect for birdwatchers, with RSPB Marazion Marsh just over a mile from the cottage. The historic harbour town of Penzance, with its fascinating history of pirates and smugglers and lovely subtropical gardens, is just 5 miles away.

This is a reverse-level property that’s tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. On the ground floor, there’s a spacious double bedroom with a picture window overlooking the Mount and an en-suite bathroom. Steps lead up to the open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner, which features a compact and well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable lounge with sofa and chair, and a table for two set in the window with uninterrupted views over the Mount, which is especially romantic when lit up at night.

The property has a small lawned garden and raised patio with bistro table and chairs, ideal for outdoor dining in good weather.

Property was light, bright and welcoming. Beautiful views exactly like the picture and lovely cream tea with milk in the fridge to have a cuppa after a long journey. Cleaning pack was great, along with extra bin bags and pegs. The owners have put a lot of thought in making it a lovely relaxing and quiet stay. Would definitely go there again.

The cottage was in a quite place it was very clean there was enough car space on the premises, it was a bit of a walk into the main town but we did not mind. It was in a good position to stay to go and see other places. Also if you need a supermarket and petrol they are a short drive away

Lovely towels and bedding great location I would rate the cottage as 3 star not 4. There is no comfort when sitting in the lounge as sofa is very uncomfortable. As the house has bedroom downstairs it is very noisy on squeaky floorboards when one person is in bed and the other upstairs.

A well-positioned cottage with fantastic views of St Michaels Mount over Mounts bay. Ideal for walking into the town for a bite to eat or a drink in the evening. A lovely bedroom with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage. It was a well equipped place to stay and we would love to come back another time.

The property is in a very good location with a view over Mounts Bay and only 5-10 minutes walk away from the centre of the town and the causeway . The car parking space is right outside and was fine for our estate car. It was a very comfortable place to stay for two of us. Two things to be aware of in advance: no cleaning products were provided so Read moremake sure you bring washing up liquid, soap, washing liquid and cloths/sponge and the cafetire is a one- person one (one mug). Fresh flowers and a welcome pack of a cream tea with tea, coffee and milk provided were much appreciated. Hide
