This former coach house is ideally located just under a mile from Windermere in the small hamlet of The Common. It’s a brilliant home to make your own with a small group of friends or immediate family. The Common is a quiet collection of houses, but everything guests need in terms of amenities is available in Windermere – there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes there too. Of course, one big draw to the area is the stunning Lake Windermere, offering the most picturesque of backdrops for a guest’s holiday.
To enter the property, go through the front door into a small conservatory with comfortable seating. It's a great area for a relaxing read and an ideal place to get those muddy boots off after a day on the nearby fells. On the ground floor, there are two charming bedrooms. The first, a king-size, is a light room with an en-suite shower room. The airy second bedroom has two single beds and is delightfully furnished. Also on this floor, there’s the family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. Upstairs is the living room situated so guests can enjoy those long-reaching views towards the fells – also shown on the picture above the wood burner. With dual-aspect windows and views, this is a light-flooded comfortable living area with lovely, comfortable seating set in front of the wood burner – the perfect place for relaxing on chilly evenings after a day's activities. This room is open-plan to enjoy dining and is perfect for meals together after exploring the Lake District National Park. Just off the living area is the kitchen, which has everything guests need for their stay.
Also on the first floor, there’s a delightful balcony space with a table and chairs, perfect for a morning coffee or evening beverage. Guests may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a deer in the adjoining field.
