Set on the edge of the Glaven Valley, the barn is close to the charming village of Briston (1.5 miles) with its traditional old houses, pretty village green and friendly pubs. Also nearby is the bustling Georgian market town of Holt (6 miles) with its independent boutique shops and restaurants, and its steam train which will take you through to the lovely seaside resort of Sheringham (12 miles). There are miles of wonderful walks and bike trails nearby, with plenty of quaint villages to visit. Other local attractions include Baconsthorpe Castle (8.5 miles), Mannington Estate (7 miles), Blickling Hall (9 miles), Broadland Country Park (13 miles), Thursford Wood (7 miles), Pensthorpe Natural Park (11 miles) and Fakenham Racecourse (13.5 miles).

Entering this warm and inviting barn conversion the open-plan lounge/diner is a lovely space for everyone to relax in at the end of a fantastic day exploring the Norfolk countryside. With plenty of seating, a TV, DVD and CD/hi-fi, the light and spacious lounge is ideal for unwinding in with a movie or a book and for chatting about the day’s activities. Towards the rear of the room you can all gather round the dining table to share your favourite meals which you can rustle up in the stylishly designed kitchen. The bright and fully equipped kitchen has everything you may need including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. At the end of the day and it’s time to head for bed, go through to the three cosy, fresh and relaxing bedrooms, all with plenty of storage space and wooden beams set in high vaulted ceilings. There’s a charming twin room and two cosy double rooms, one with an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. The property is rounded off with a refreshing and invigorating shower room complete with a shower cubicle and WC.

Heading outside, the garden has a lawn with plenty of space for children to play, and there’s a charming patio with a choice of outdoor furniture and a BBQ, making a lovely spot for dining alfresco on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Parking is available for three cars on the driveway at the front of the property.

The property is in a remote setting. Although the property would benefit from a refresh it is comfortable, spacious and well equipped. We found the general standard of cleanliness to be poor and it would benefit from a deep clean

Please be aware this property is located down a single track lane with few passing points and some large potholes. You cannot easily walk to a local shop/pub, so be prepared to have to drive to get anywhere. Mobile phone signal is very weak, we had no signal at all, which made keeping in touch difficult when part of our party went out separatelRead morey. However, the property was comfortable and well equipped, especially the kitchen. The beds were very comfy! As it is very secluded, it is extremely peaceful, and you rarely hear any traffic. Great if you want to escape from everything Hide

Lovely location but need to warn people of difficult single-track tracks for access. Cottage a little "tired" and not spotlessly clean in places but otherwise very lovely and we enjoyed our stay.
