They include the sandy, family-friendly beach, delightful Edwardian pier, with its water clock, and Southwold’s famous working lighthouse. Enjoy a carriage ride through Southwold drawn by two magnificent Shire horses and treat yourself to a fresh-caught fish supper at one of the many cafes and restaurants. A visit to the RSPB’s Nature Reserve at Minsmere (11.6 miles) is a great day out. Nearer to home, explore beautiful Reydon Woods, a 16-hectare nature reserve with ancient, coppiced woodland, famous for its bluebells in the spring.
