Surrounded by Yorkshire Dales scenery, this traditional, stone-built cottage is perfect for a family holiday. It’s one of three cottages set beside a stream and waterfall in the village of Thwaite and is also close to the village’s hotel and bar. The Pennine Way runs close to the village, allowing for lots of long-distance walks, and there are plenty of popular towns and villages to visit – such as Reeth, Aysgarth and Muker – within 11 miles.
Step into the entrance of this cottage, then into the lounge/diner, furnished with comfortable seating, a dining table and chairs, and an open fire in a feature fireplace. Modern features such as a TV, iPhone docking station and a DVD player make this the perfect place for relaxing after days out exploring, while a beamed ceiling adds a touch of character. Also on this floor is the kitchen which has everything you need for family meals. Climb 12 steps up to the first floor where the double and twin bedrooms are found. The twin has a shower in the bedroom, while there is also a bathroom (with one step down into the room) on this floor.
Outside, choose from a shared patio overlooking the brook or another shared patio to the front of the property – both offering pretty spots to sit and soak up the tranquillity of this location.
