Bodham is a small idyllic village close to the North Norfolk Coast making this the perfect base for discovering what Norfolk has to offer. The village has a traditional pub offering excellent meals. The village has some great walks in the vicinity and depending on how energetic you wish to be you can walk to Weybourne on the coast. Sheringham and Cromer are two fun and traditional seaside towns within easy reach, with sandy beaches, live theatre in one and a pier show in the other; both towns have numerous good places to eat, including traditional fish and chips or great takeaways if you are looking for a relaxing meal in and don't wish to cook. The historic house of Felbrigg and the equally lovely Sheringham Park with gorgeous views down to the coast are both run by the National Trust and within easy reach.  Amazona Zoo on the outskirts of Cromer is somewhere all generations will enjoy. Travel inland a little to discover the pretty, elegant, Georgian town of Holt, with plenty of independent boutique shops, a great food hall, numerous art galleries, antique haunts and a good slice of cake and coffee culture can be found here too! There is also a coastal steam train service from Holt to Sheringham. Golf courses can be found at Sheringham and Cromer and there are some wonderful views from the coastal cliff top walks.

Entering this airy, light-filled and welcoming holiday home, the appealing open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner makes a wonderful living space for you all to unwind in at the end of a fabulous day exploring a beautiful part of Norfolk. With plenty of seating, a Smart TV, DVD, CD, DAB radio and iPod dock, the cosy, bright and inviting lounge is an ideal space to kick back, settle in front of the warming wood burner and watch a favourite movie or chat about the day. Featuring exposed beams in the high vaulted ceiling, the living area also has a cheerful central dining space so you can gather round the table to plan the next day’s activities as you share a fantastic family meal. To the rear of the room, the stylishly designed kitchen has everything you may need to rustle up a wide range of dishes including a nespresso coffee machine, built-in electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and microwave, as well as a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. Exploring this lovely single-level barn conversion further there are two tastefully decorated bedrooms to choose between. There’s a pretty double room with a TV, and a charming king-size room with a TV and an en-suite shower room with a shower and WC. The property is rounded off with an invigorating family bathroom complete with a relaxing corner bath, a handheld shower and a WC.

Heading outside, the enclosed suntrap courtyard has a table and chairs and makes a quiet and relaxing spot for a morning coffee, dining alfresco or for enjoying a glass or two of wine at the end of a great day. Parking is available for two cars on the driveway.

Fieldmouse Barn is a delightful cottage and don't feel that any improvements are required. In our opinion everything a guest could require is provided.

A terrific little place which we found very comfortable and well equipped. The secure courtyard was great bearing in mind we had a small dog with us, as well as being a real suntrap for the humans. Proximity of the Red Hart actually an advantage and only made its presence felt during what sounded like a rather amusing karaoke night! Brilliant locatRead moreion for to-ing and fro-ing along the coast's attractions, including many very nice pubs. Hide

The cottage was well equiped and in a good location. Beds were comfy, some nights the ensuite bedroom was quiet cold but apart from that everything was fine.

The cottage is ideal for visiting the north Norfolk coast and surrounding areas. There is a village pub virtually next door. Apart from that no village shop so you have to drive to Holt which is only about 10 mins away. The cottage was clean and the kitchen well fitted out with equipment which was ideal as we cooked Christmas dinner there. We weRead morere not able to control the heating which switched off at 10:00 so we felt a little chilly in the evenings. Hide

Fieldmouse Barn was a really lovely property and spotlessly clean . The village is small with only a pub next door but set back a short way from the main road meant it was quiet . The kitchen equipment was of good quality and cleaning materials very generous . Cooker , fridge , washer etc in good working order .

The property was exactly as described. It was excellently situated, very handy for the beach . The barn was immaculately presented, spotlessly clean with good quality appliances. Would definitely stay there again and would happily recommend Original Cottages to family and friends.
