For a romantic holiday for two, it’s hard to beat this cosy renovated barn in North West Wales, located on the owner’s picturesque farm. You’ll be 1 mile from the small village of Llannor, and 2 miles from the pretty market town of Pwllheli, where you can enjoy a slap-up meal or a day by the beach. The bustling seaside resorts of Nefyn, Llanbedrog and Abersoch (6, 5.5 and 8.5 miles respectively) are all well worth the trip.
The building has been converted to a high standard, starting with the impressive living area, featuring a vaulted ceiling with ceiling beams and original flagstone flooring. This space is excellent for relaxing together, reclining on the leather sofas and enjoying a meal together at the pine dining table. French doors from here lead out to the terrace. In the adjoining kitchen, painted wooden units and an apron sink contribute to the traditional style. The pristine shower room and WC is also on the ground floor. From the cosy living area, head up the wooden stairs to reach a mezzanine landing. Double pine doors lead to your sleeping nest, a gorgeous double room with skylights, an impressive antique brass double bed and lovely pine furniture.
Outside the property, there’s a raised terrace with potted plants – a lovely space to relax and absorb the uninterrupted views. There’s a table, chairs and a parasol as well as a BBQ for those outdoor sizzle-ups. During your trip, the owner is happy for you to explore the farm, which features an orchard, beds and polytunnels yielding an abundance of horticultural delights.
