Spend quality time together in this two-bedroom cottage. Found opposite the beautiful Norman-era church in the small East Suffolk village of Sweffling, it’s surrounded by footpaths, with ample access to many countryside walks. Journey through history at local attractions such as the Parham Airfield Museum (3 miles), Framlingham Castle (4 miles), Leiston Abbey (8 miles) Bentwaters Cold War Museum (9 miles) and at The Red House in Aldeburgh (9.5 miles). Or get outdoors at Captain’s Wood (10.5 miles), the National Trust Orford Ness National Nature Reserve (12 miles) and at RSPB Minsmere (11 miles). There are many charming towns and villages to explore nearby, including Woodbridge, with its array of restaurants, cafes and an interesting market (12 miles) and the seaside resorts of Aldeburgh and Thorpeness (both 10 miles).

An entrance porch, with hooks for coat and boot storage, leads into the open-plan living area. A wood burner creates a cosy ambience, complemented by on-trend furnishings including a dining table with Eames-style chairs. French doors at both ends allow light to flood into this space. A separate kitchen with splashes of colour is also found on the ground floor. Upstairs, via the staircase that’s open on one side, there are two bedrooms. The cosy double bedroom features sloping ceilings and its own vanity unit and sink. Full of charm, the twin bedroom benefits from plenty of natural light and has a TV. Completing the upstairs layout is a compact shower room with rainfall shower.

A patio with planted borders wraps around three sides of the property, enclosed by hedging and walls. This garden, furnished with deck chairs and a table, is a delightful spot for morning coffee or a sundowner.

Lovely little cottage in a beautiful, quiet village. The location is great for exploring all that Suffolk has to offer - castles, beaches and plenty of pubs all within a half an hour drive. The cottage itself is small but perfectly formed. It worked well do us as two adults and two children (6 and 8), we were our most of the day but it was nice to Read morecome back to comfy beds and a cute little living room. We particularly appreciated the friendly neighbour who gave us fresh eggs a few times! Hide

Nice little cottage in a lovely location. Beds and bathroom are clean, rest of it could do with some TLC.

The cottage is cosy, beds are comfy, heating is efficient. There are some issues which require attention to make it better, especially with regard to the appliances.

Generally a comfortable and well equipped cottage in lovely rural location, perfect for scenic walks but necessary to drive for all essentials. Lovely cafe and pub in nearby Rendham.
