Two-bedroom apartment in the popular resort of St Ives, perfect for a family of four with a bunk bedroom and superb views. Less than 0.5 miles down the hill is the centre of the town, with a range of shops, pubs and eateries that will whet everyone’s appetite. Spend days on one of the four superb beaches, Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, Porthminster, and Harbour Beach. There are plenty of fantastic stretches of golden sand offering opportunities to surf, build sandcastles, or take the kids rock pooling. For an adrenaline-filled family day out, head 16.5 miles to the wonderful Flambards Theme Park, great for children of all ages.

This lovely apartment has everything you need for a family self-catering holiday. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a superb social space while still being practical. Rustle up delicious meals to eat together at the four-seater dining table, and then spend evenings enjoying watching films in the cosy lounge area complete with pretty window seating too. When it comes to sleeping arrangements, there are two bedrooms to choose from. One is a wonderful king-size bedroom that is comfortable and bright, with lovely views across the rooftops and out to sea. The other is a bunk bedroom, perfect for the children of the group. A shower room completes the accommodation.

Enter the accommodation via a shared entrance and a flights of stairs. Though this apartment doesn’t have its own outside space, the superb Porthmeor Beach is just 200 metres away. Parking is provided for one car in the apartment block’s car park.

There was such a gap between all the welcoming words in the messages beforehand and the reality when we got there that was no soap and only one toilet roll - for four people for a week?! Such a small outlay on those two things, and maybe a couple of tea bags and some milk, would have made the flat genuinely welcoming. It felt mean-spirited, which iRead mores a pity as its a nice flat and the beds were comfortable. Hide

Great apartment in perfect location a few minutes from the beach. Note that the parking is via an unmade road to the rear and is very tight. Difficult in an X1, anything bigger I think youd need to park elsewhere

Close to shops, bars, restaurants. Clean and comfortable with good views. Prestin white linen and towles. Well equipped.
