Located in a prime position on St Ives’ bustling area of Downalong, this captivating ground-floor apartment happily hosts two guests on coastal retreat. Simply step out of your door and into the throngs of this bustling seaside town. There is a wealth of sandy beaches, a harbour offering boat trips to surrounding islands and two world-renowned galleries within walking distance of your holiday home. Wander out to Fore Street (0.5 miles) to browse an array of independent shops, picking up fish and chips along the way and watching artists at work on the cobbled side streets. You can head to sandy shores for a day of sunbathing or perhaps a surfing lesson! Keen surfers will find an abundance of celebrated beaches right here, along with fantastic water conditions in the nearby town of Hayle (5 miles).

Whilst this studio space is compact, it’s clear that plenty of thought has gone into ensuring it always feels cosy and homely. Enter via stable doors and you’ll step into the open-plan space. The kitchen/dining area is well-equipped for those evenings when you chose to dine indoors – don’t forget to pick up some freshly caught seafood to cook up something good. Very cosy, well appointed. Excellent location. Comfy bed. Could hear people in the above property talking and moving about very clearly. Not sure if sound proofing is an option. We were lucky that the noise stopped by 930pm, but had it gone and and had we been there for longer than 3 nights it could have ruined it.

We had a fantastic 10 nights pre Christmas holiday in Netherton. Its very central to shops and beaches and very will kitted out. we have stayed here many times in the past, and really cant fault it. Will be back again for sure.

Lovely property, perfect for two people. It is in a great location, next to the car park, so easy to unload the car and only a few minutes walk to the main front by the harbour. The property had everything we needed for a stay, including cupboard space for suitcases, clothes and belongings. Only downside was that you could hear everything from the Read moreproperty above. We could hear the occupants moving around and talking and even the dog running across the floor. We were lucky that they never stayed up or came in late and didnt get up in the night and we were out all day so it didnt affect us but could have ruined the holiday if they had been noisy. Hide

The room was quite dark as there was little daylight due to the narrow street. Electric lights were needed all day

Well appointed, yet cosy apartment. Location is perfection. Very close to several beaches and harbour and town (literally couple of minutes walk), yet still managed to be in a quiet street

Netherton is cosy and unfussy, and the location is brilliant, although the cottage itself has no views. I felt very safe and comfortable there and will definitely go back. I like that Original Cottages has an office in town and the staff there are very helpful.

My daughter and I had a lovely holiday ,will definitely be back. Amazing location for Porthmeor, Porthwidden and Harbour beach , beautiful little cottage apartment .

Needs upgrading still same 10years on. There are lovely places close by of much higher spec for little more money. Still enjoyed my holiday in St. Ives my 53rd one.
