Nature lovers can head to Pensthorpe Natural Park (5 miles), Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve (4 miles) and Thursford Wood (8 miles). Other local attractions include Raynham Hall, Axes and Escapes, the ruins of Creake Abbey, Holkham Hall and the Sandringham Estate, all within 20 miles of this retreat.

On entering this property, you’ll see the hallway features a handy sofa bed and leads you through to the characterful main lounge. Full of charm and quaint details including exposed beams and brickwork, this delightful room features plenty of seating, a wood burner set in a quaint inglenook fireplace and an original ornamental baker’s oven. At the end of the day, head upstairs to the first floor where you will find two cosy bedrooms, each with beautiful, exposed timber beams in the low, sloping, vaulted ceilings. There’s a lovely double room with an old feature fireplace, and a pretty twin room, each with plenty of storage space. An amazing place to stay. Huge amounts of thought and care have gone into making this a really fascinating place to stay. We loved it. It was extremely well equipped with everything from scales, bun tins, food mixer, sweet corn skewers, to BBQ and picnic equipment. A lovely welcome pack with flowers, eggs, cake, bread, butter, milk, juice or wine.Read more Delightful owners in adjacent property were on hand if needed otherwise left us to enjoy our stay. I personally found the super king/twin much much too soft but my friend loved the softness of the bed in the other room. This is just personal preference. Hide
