The Old Brewery house was the perfect place for our family reunion in Orford. The living space is huge and the rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed many evenings in the beautiful garden playing ptanque, croquet and taking in the quiet beauty of Suffolk. Location is perfect as it is only a few step away from the quay and the heart of the village.Read more Thank you to the owners who were very welcoming and helpful with our questions. A big cottage in a great location close to the Quay and local pub. The cottage is roomy and bedrooms are large, however, there is only one shower, which is not enough for eight people. The second bathroom is no more than another toilet, unless you have children to bathe. The bathrooms are also in need of an update showing lots of signs of wear aRead morend tear. In the instructions to gain access to the property, you are told to contact the housekeeper We tried to phone her at least 10 times, and in the end, we contacted Suffolk Secrets, who emailed her to ask her to contact us - nothing. We were going to a wedding so wanted to ask if we could park our cars at the property. - We did NOT want to enter the property before 4pm the allocated arrival time When we did drive down there at 1:30pm the house keeper was livid that we wanted to come in early, we explained we didn't want to go into the house but just leave the cars (which didn't seem to be a problem) But she was furious that we wanted to enter the property - which we kept saying we didn't. She was then angry that we hadn't contacted her before to ask about the cars, and we explained that we had tried on numerous occasions. This woman was extremely rude, to the point where she made my adult daughter cry. We did leave the cars but did not go to the house until after 4pm. There was supposed to be a welcome pack which we never got presumably out of spite as she could have easily popped it over to us. (they live in the house next door.) One last note: we did meet the owner, who was very nice and kind, unlike his housekeeper Hide

We had a very comfortable stay at The Old Brewery House, using the house as a base to do some cycle rides around the coast and rambles across Orford Ness. The house is in a great location, near the quay and Jolly Sailor pub and just a pleasant short walk to the bakery and Deli. The owner who stays near by was friendly and helpful. Crisp clean sheetRead mores, good wifi signal for a rural location, and a comfortable lounge and dining area with access to iplayer and Netflix. Easy to use central heating if it gets chilly, as well as a log fire with kindling and wood provided. We had shared use of a pleasant and well kept garden, with views over the surrounding Suffolk countryside. Very relaxing. Hide

Old Brewery House was an ideal location for our family get together. It was comfortable, plenty of space but cosy as well and as my 5 year old granddaughter said, "it was awesome ". We really appreciated the generous welcome pack that the owner left us and Orford is a beautiful small village that has everything you need. We will return.

The reason for not top marks across the board was that the lighting in the living areas was poor making reading in the evening inadequate for older people. no other complaints
