The cottage is in the small hamlet of Oby and is ideally placed for days out on the water in The Broads National Park and trips to the beaches of Norfolk’s east coast. Head to Acle Bridge (4 miles), known as the ‘gateway to The Broads’, to hire a boat or explore the network of walking trails that criss-cross their way through the landscape. You can also join the long-distance Weavers’ Way here. A journey of just 11 miles brings you to the wide, sandy bays of Sea Palling. This beach is a favourite with families, thanks to its sheltered sand and calm waters. There are some excellent family attractions within 10 miles, including Bewilderwood and Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens.
The stylish property has an open-plan layout, and is decorated in a contemporary style. Chic light fittings are carefully arranged to help set the mood, and sumptuous soft furnishings ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The lounge/kitchen/diner is a fabulous place to spend quality time together, gathered at the breakfast bar for informal mealtimes, or around the dining table for evenings of great food and laughter. After dinner, sink into the plump corner sofa to watch a film on the TV/DVD, listen to music on the CD or DAB radio or take advantage of the store of books and games. There’s also a cosy wood burner for those chilly winter evenings. The kitchen area has everything you need to whip up a tasty meal for the group, including an electric oven and induction hob, fridge with a freezer compartment, microwave, and dishwasher. You’ll also find a handy washing machine, should you need it during the holiday. On the same level are the two gorgeous double bedrooms, both with elegant soft furnishings and stunning chandelier-style lights above the bed. Finally, completing the holiday cottage, is a sleek bathroom with a bath, separate walk-in shower, and WC.
Outside, discover a peaceful haven of mature trees and shrubs, nestled around a large lawn. Spend time relaxing on the bench in the sunshine or take yourself off to the summerhouse with your favourite book. There is off-road parking for two cars available on the property’s driveway and room for a small boat and trailer should you wish to use the launching facilities 1 mile away at Thurne. Farm produce, including eggs, bacon, and steak, is available to buy on site.
