A very comfortable, well equipped cottage, in a small village, with a very nice pub 3 doors down which has good food. The little paved garden is fully enclosed and perfect for a dog and sitting out. Within easy walking distance of Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle with lots more to see up and down the coast.

Lovely cosy cottage set in a really small, quiet village. Perfect for us two and the dog, with a secure side garden to sit out in. Only a short walk into Craster, over fields and marked footpaths. Pub/hotel a few doors down, with huge grassed beer garden. Superb food, including take out of their full menu!

Beautiful location and picturesque, quaint cottage with superb access to Craster, Dunstanburgh Castle and the sublime Embleton beach. Don't miss the excellent Cottage Inn nearby for a hearty meal. It really doesn't get any better than this!

The cottage was pretty and the location was great for walking and going to the harbour to fish, and for walking to the castle. It is not far from Howick Gardens too, which are lovely. It was handy having the Cottage Inn next door for a meal. I couldnt get a signal or calls on my O2 phone but could on husbands phone, which is EE. A shop owner saiRead mored there is talk of putting a phone mast in at some point. Hide

All excellent and we had a great time. My only comment / issue was the amount of cobwebs and a few spiders lurking about. Particularly one right next to the bed and over the shower. Also the double mattress / bed wasnt great, noisy and a bit thin.

The bathroom was in need of a thorough clean. The shower head I cleaned myself to remove the black slime and the shower curtain was badly stained. The bed was very uncomfortable and affected the quality of our sleep so much we went out and purchased a mattress topper. Overall the Cottage was a good base but this early in the season it didn't feel lRead moreike it had been thoroughly cleaned for a long time. Hide
