Enjoy this enchanting countryside retreat with your loved one, set in the grounds of Howick Hall and Arboretum and close to the Northumberland coastline – you’ll have plenty of opportunities to walk, soak up the sun, or simply relax. There are tonnes of walking and cycling routes from the doorstep, both in the hall’s grounds and further afield. Enjoy coastal strolls along the Northumberland Coast Path and visit the pretty beaches of Sugar Sands and Longhoughton Beach, just 1 mile on foot, or 3 miles by car. Head to the pretty fishing village of Craster (3 miles) and watch the boats come and go in the harbour. Alnwick is 6 miles away, a bustling town with a wide range of places to eat, shops to peruse, and the fabulous Alnwick Castle.
Once a school, this pretty cottage is full of character and is a real home from home. Enjoy cooking together in the practical kitchen, and share dinner around the table in the pretty lounge/diner. Once full, get cosy on the comfortable sofas and watch a movie on the lounge’s TV. A charming bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the ground floor. Head upstairs and find the bedroom which boasts a wonderful super-king bed and an en-suite WC.
Outside, there’s a large garden that is enclosed where you can enjoy an evening tipple on the patio furniture. Guests have free access to the Howick Hall and Arboretum grounds, great to explore in any season.
