This detached holiday home is ideal for a large group or extended family to enjoy a sociable holiday at the seaside. The village of Croyde is a laidback and friendly place with a beautiful sandy beach as its crowning glory. This golden horseshoe-shaped bay will likely be where you'll spend much of your time. With its shallow rockpools and gently rolling waves, it's a very family-friendly beach. Beginner and intermediate surfers can take a lesson or play amongst the waves and there are lifeguards on hand throughout the summer season. The village itself has a nice range of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, all within 500 metres of the property, while the beach is less than a mile away. For dramatic cliff walks head to the National Trust-managed Baggy Point and gaze out at the fine stretch of 'Golden Coast' sands that is Woolacombe Beach. The village of Woolacombe lies at the far end of the beach and is 5 miles from Croyde. Head 3.5 miles in the other direction and you'll reach Saunton Beach backed by the famous Broughton Burrows dunes. Then a couple of miles inland the village of Broughton is perfect for a pleasant afternoon wander with a cream tea pit stop along the way.
The house is spacious, and ideal for a big crew to relax and socialise together. The living room has cosy sofas and a feature fireplace. The sizable kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking up a family meal and dining together. There is also a seating area and TV to one end. There's a handy downstairs WC too. Upstairs you'll find ample bedrooms including a king-size, a double and two bunk bed rooms. One of these is a traditional bunk bed and the other is a combination, with a double bed on the bottom and a single up top. These four bedrooms share two bathrooms, one en-suite shower room for two of the rooms and one bathroom with a shower over the bath. A narrow flight of stairs leads up to the attic where there is a double bedroom and a corner shower room with a sloping ceiling.
Outside there is an expansive fully enclosed south-facing lawn to the front of the house. This is ideal for games, picnicking or simply lounging in the sunshine.
Just outside the house you’ll find a deck with seating that’s ideal for enjoying morning coffee or afternoon drinks. The useful outhouse incorporates a utility area and wet room for rinsing off sandy beachgoers.
