The tranquil village of Croyde is set on the stunning 'Golden Coast' of North Devon. Just a few hundred metres from the front door guests can join the Billy Bud’s paved pathway that leads to the beach just over half a mile away. It's about the same distance by road also. Croyde's lovely horseshoe-shaped stretch of sand is popular with rock pooling enthusiasts as well as beginner and intermediate surfers. The waves here are generally gentle and there are lifeguards on duty throughout the summer season. Up on the surrounding cliffs, walkers can enjoy rugged walking along the North Devon Coastal Path and explore Baggy Point managed by the National Trust. Back in the village guests can access the town on foot from the garden and it is a mere 100 metres to the high street with its great range of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Heading east you'll come to the pristine 3 –mile long Woolacombe Beach with the village located at the far end 5 miles from Croyde. Saunton Beach lies in the other direction 2.5 miles away with the designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Braunton Burrows stretching out behind it.
This charming thatched cottage has been sensitively extended to allow a good amount of space for a large group or family. The entrance porch with its original oak door leads into the slate floored hallway. From there, guests can wander into the comfortable living room with its oak floors and original inglenook fireplace now housing a TV. From there patio doors lead out into the garden. The ample country-style kitchen and dining room are open-plan to allow for sociable evenings of cooking and feasting together. The ground floor bedroom with twins, also on the ground floor is a shower room housing a washing machine. The back porch is home to a tumble dryer and is also a useful place to store boots and boards. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a further twin room which can be made into a Superking on request, one of the doubles enjoys lovely views over the garden. All three bedrooms share a family bathroom with a bath. There is also a separate WC on this floor.
