Sitting at the end of an idyllic no through lane in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, this gorgeous Grade II-listed cottage is adorned with beautiful features like beamed ceilings, cute window seats, stained glass windows and an Inglenook fireplace. The cottage sits just 2 miles outside the lovely village of Askrigg, a lovely village with a nice selection of pubs and tearooms. A little further afield you’ll find the bustling market towns of Hawes (5.5 miles) and Leyburn (14 miles). Sitting at 850 feet above sea level, Hawes is famous for its Wensleydale Cheese and scenic surroundings. Visit Leyburn to drop in at the local chocolatier, sample the beers at Wensleydale Brewery, or bid at the town's antique auctions.
Step inside and kick off your shoes in the cottage’s entrance hallway – there’s plenty of storage room for your outdoor gear. Head to the beautiful lounge to slip onto a sofa and make yourself at home in front of the wood burner, which sits in a pretty feature stone fireplace. When it’s time for dinner, head to the kitchen/diner. You’ll find everything you need to cook for your loved ones, as well as some gorgeous design features, like dual-aspect window with dale views, a quaint window seat and a traditional beamed ceiling. Get everyone together to dine at the table, before heading out to soak up the views of the dale. A handy shower room with WC completes the ground-floor layout. When it’s time for bed, head up the stone stairs to the first floor and you’ll find three lovely bedrooms – 1 double with a wooden beamed ceiling and a window seat; 1 double with a feature wooden ceiling, window seat and triple-aspect windows; and 1 twin with a wooden beamed ceiling. Completing the first-floor layout is a stylish family bathroom.
Outside you’ll discover a wonderful, enclosed garden with a picnic bench.
