A delightful property located in a peaceful spot a short distance from all the highlights of Southwold. This two-bedroom cottage is ideal for hikers, beach lovers, and anyone wanting to explore the wider Suffolk coast. The property is located within easy distance of the town centre and high street, where you’ll find traditional greengrocers and butchers as well as independent boutiques and galleries. Spend your days on the long sandy beach with its promenade, beach huts and historic pier complete with amusement arcades. Take a tour of the famous lighthouse or brewery, take in a round of golf, stretch your legs on the common or cross the river to the pretty village of Walberswick (1.5 miles).

This light and airy property has comfortable rooms decorated in a tasteful and welcoming style with lovely views of the common from the front windows. The ground floor has an open plan layout with a cosy lounge area and a pretty kitchen with wooden work surfaces and all the necessary appliances. A four-person dining table is located in the conservatory, where you can throw open the glass doors to let the outside in as you dine. A cloakroom with a WC and handbasin completes the ground floor. Upstairs you’ll find a shared bathroom and two tranquil and comfortably furnished bedrooms - one king-size and one single - both with lovely views over the common.

This property features a rear courtyard accessed through the conservatory. The enclosed space is ideal for letting your dog roam free, while the table and chairs make it a lovely spot for lunch in the sun. A second small seating area outside the front of the property is a beautiful place to sit with a coffee and watch the world go by.

This was our second stay in Heathside in Southwold which is excellently situated for the town, the beach and the common, so access to everything is really easy. The property is comfortable and pleasant and gave us a great base to explore the area. Our little dog also loved easy access to the common and the beach. We hope to return in future.

The cottage is in an ideal position in Southwold. Perfect for a short walk to the beach, common and shops. Comfortable and clean accommodation, furnished to a good standard. Parking at property for one car, though if you have a large vehicle, might be better to use the free car park by the common, which is just across the road. This was our second time staying at Heathside, it is a perfect location for the shops, beach & many pubs! We find it super helpful with having a dog & the common being just over the road. Thanks again for a fantastic stay, i am sure we will be back!

Having stayed in Southwold many times over the years, I found this the most ideal spot! The common was great to walk the dog first in the morning, the high street, beach, shops & pubs all within such a short distance. We will be back :)
