This recently renovated property is located in the heart of the picturesque town of Southwold. Just 0.2 miles from the beach, this house is the ideal base for exploring this special part of Suffolk. The many delights of Southwold, including the pier, Grade II-listed lighthouse, historic harbour, sandy beach and independent high street are all on the doorstep and it has the real feel of a quintessentially English seaside resort. Why not take a trip to the infamous Adnams Brewery and sample some ale, or head into the surrounding countryside by foot or on two wheels and explore the beautiful scenery? During the summer months, guests can take a walk-on ferry over to the pretty village of Walberswick with its pretty shoreline and family attractions. As part of the Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are a great many trails and walks from the property that take in the spectacular coast and countryside.

Head through the front door of his stylish home and discover a living area that, thanks to careful zoning, is spacious yet cosy, with a bright and cheerful interior with a wood burner to gather around on chillier evenings. The dining area is a very attractive space with French doors and large dining table. It partly extends into the conservatory allowing light to flood in and fabulous views out over the garden. The kitchen is sleek and contemporary with everything required for a self-catering break. The ground floor also contains two bedrooms – an inviting king-size room with an en-suite shower room and a pretty twin. There’s also a bright and stylish family bathroom. Up on the first floor are two more lovely, light and bright bedrooms – a king and a twin, the latter of which has a Smart TV and DVD player – perfect for an early night or a lazy lie-in. There’s also another bathroom on this floor so hopefully no queues for the shower!

The outside of the property is also a great space. Directly outside the French doors is a great patio space with seating and then a few steps take you up to the enclosed lawned area which has more bench seating - perfect for catching the last rays of the sun or for that first cup of coffee of the morning.

Lovely property. Great location, 5 mins from beach and the pier and not much more to the town centre. 3 generations fit well into the house.1 big and 1 small car can fit on the drive infront of the garage. The bedrooms were all lovely and easily fit 8 which included 2 twin rooms. Would definitely stay again. Southwold is a lovely place and has a grRead moreeat beach. Plenty of places around for eating. Lovely clean cottage in a great location for the pier and town - try the tea room near the boating lake The cottage had plenty of room for 7 adults and a baby and dog highly recommend

The property is in a fantastic location no more than 300 yards from anything you need. Linen and towels were in plentiful supply. Beds were comfy and once the fire was lit you knew you were on holiday in Southwold in February. Bath is huge. We will most certainly stay again.

We loved everything about the cottage. It was perfect for our 4 generation family holiday in terms of location, space and comfort. Will definitely book again when we return to Southwold.
