A bright, modern holiday home with lots of indoor and outdoor space for families or groups to relax together on a coastal break. Located in the centre of the charming seaside village of Southwold, you can even see glimpses of the sea from some of the bedrooms. Sandy Southwold Beach (0.2 miles) is a lovely place to sunbathe, stroll or build sandcastles if you’re holidaying with children. Take a walk on the promenade that’s lined with colourful beach huts and the pier which has shops, cafes and amusements to delight the kids. Save time to see the working lighthouse, which is Grade II-listed, and indulge yourself in the town’s shops and restaurants. Visiting in the summer? Head to the harbour (1.5 miles) and take the summer-only foot ferry across the River Blyth to the atmospheric seaside village of Walberswick (8 miles, if you were to drive) where you can see a nature reserve, go crabbing at the harbour and while away an afternoon in the traditional pubs.
Back at the house, make memories in the spacious, open-plan sitting and dining room with big, stylish sofas and quirky accessories. There’s a desk, a TV, DVD and a stereo system for custom entertainment. The long table - which sits beside patio doors with access to and views of the garden - will comfortably seat all guests and has a partial glass roof above allowing the light to flood in. The contemporary kitchen is a stylish affair and has a further four-seater breakfast table, plus there’s a handy ground-floor shower room. Upstairs, the first floor has a double bedroom and a king-size bedroom. The first-floor bathroom features a bath with a shower attachment. On the second and top floor, there are two twin rooms, one with sloping ceilings. A second-floor cloakroom with a WC completes the house.
The rear, enclosed garden is a great space with lots of room for socialising. Guests can enjoy the lawned garden featuring a paved area with a coffee table and chairs, and a decked area with an eight-seater garden dining table. There is also a pond in the garden that has slats over and you’ll also find a small green space by the front driveway.
