Escape to the peace and tranquillity of Walberswick for a traditional seaside getaway with your loved ones. This welcoming cottage is the ideal accommodation option for families or groups of friends in search of a charming coastal bolthole on the Suffolk coast. The idyllic village of Walberswick is home to a picture-postcard green (200 metres), surrounded by pastel-coloured cottages, tearooms, shops and pubs. Head to the beach (0.5 miles) and sunbathe among the marram grass-covered dunes, or make your way towards the crashing waves for a paddle before heading back into the village for some pub grub. Alternatively, head to the harbour (200 metres) and take a trip across the River Blyth on the charming Southwold to Walberswick Ferry. This rowing boat crossing has been in service since 1236. Once in Southwold, you can take a tour of the lighthouse (1.5 miles), visit the only museum in the UK dedicated entirely to amber (1.5 miles), and check out the restaurants, cafes and shops on the pier (2 miles).
Step inside and you’ll discover a charming sitting room decorated in a beautiful palette of coastal hues. Take a moment to slip onto a sofa and make yourself at home in front of the wood burner. There’s also a handy day-room with a sofa bed and table and chairs – so there is no shortage of space when it comes to seeking out that special spot to call your own. The lovely kitchen/diner is overflowing with rustic charm and you’ll find everything you need to allow your culinary skills to shine. A convenient cloakroom with a WC completes the ground-floor layout. Head upstairs and you’ll find three lovely bedrooms – one king-size, one twin with an additional Z-bed, one double with a 4’ bed and a large family bathroom.
Outside, you’ll discover a quaint courtyard with seating to the rear – the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or an after-dinner drink.
