This fantastic retreat is just a mile from the idyllic Norfolk village of Edgefield which has a friendly pub with a choice of spa facilities. The village makes a great base for exploring the countryside of northern Norfolk, with the beautiful coast within easy reach. In the charming Georgian town of Holt (4 miles) you will find a choice of welcoming pubs, restaurants and independent shops, or you can spend a day in the popular Holt Country Park (2.5 miles). Nature lovers can head to Pensthorpe Natural Park, Mannington Gardens and Cley Marshes (all within 13 miles). Over on the Norfolk coast, you can explore thriving seaside resorts and secluded beaches at Cromer, Mundesley and Sheringham (all within 17 miles).

This beautifully updated property features a spacious and welcoming lounge with plenty of seating, Smart TV, DVD and iPod dock as well as a wood burner in an exposed brickwork surround, plus original exposed ceiling beams. A great space for snuggling up in front of the wood burner and watching a favourite movie, the lounge also offers charming country views. Further beams can be found in the vaulted ceiling of the dining room, helping add light and atmosphere to this sociable and relaxing space which has a welcoming dining table and an additional seating area. You can rustle up a family feast in the elegant and thoughtfully designed kitchen which has a useful central island / breakfast bar and plenty of equipment including an electric range oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as a handy TV. Finally, the ground floor has a separate WC. Heading up the stylish central staircase, the first floor offers three light and refreshing bedrooms to choose between, all decorated in soothing shades. The first is a charming king-size room with an en-suite shower room with a shower and WC. The second is a cheerful super-king-size room which can be made up as a twin room on prior request. Finally there’s a lovely twin bedroom. The first floor also has an invigorating family bathroom complete with a bath, shower cubicle and a WC.

Outside, the large courtyard garden features a BBQ and plenty of outdoor furniture, making a great space for a morning coffee or al fresco meal on a lazy afternoon. The courtyard overlooks further lawns with a wildflower area and pretty countryside views. Parking is available on the driveway for three cars.

Lovely barn with very good hall and living room space. Bedrooms were also spacious and bed very comfortable. Good kitchen with lots of utensils. Nice welcome pack too. The location is great, down a quiet lane but close to Holt and the coastline.

Plane Tree Barn is a lovely property a short drive from the beautiful Georgian town of Holt. The property is very spacious and well appointed. The beds were all very comfortable and the area is very quiet and peaceful so we all slept well. The drive is shared with the neighbouring property but there is ample parking space for a number of cars.
