Get back to nature with a peaceful stroll through Harwood Dale Forest (4.5 miles), an area of coniferous woodland made up mainly of pines and spruces, and an excellent place for birdwatching or spotting badgers, squirrels, foxes and even roe deer. Hayburn Wyke (5 miles) is a secluded cove between Scarborough and Whitby, perfect for rock pooling, and features a stunning waterfall that falls directly onto the rocky beach. A fantastic local resturant offering lunch, dinner and coffee and cakes only a short walk away (The Grainary).
