Woodpeckers Cottage was the perfect location for our visit to the North York Moors and Coast. We particularly liked the rural location surrounded by fields. The birds in the garden were a joy to watch with so many different species. We would definitely stay here again. Would recommend the Oak Wheel pub for breakfast and the Three Jolly Sailors fRead moreor evening meals. Hide

Beautiful location with breathtaking views and very good base for exploring the North Yorkshire coast. We enjoyed spending time in the summerhouse watching the horses in the next field and our dog loved playing in the garden. We saw the woodpecker amongst other birds on the birdfeeders in the back garden. We enjoyed the goodies left by the ownerRead mores and are now hooked on gooseberry jam. Hide

Quiet, peaceful cottage set 6 miles north east of the centre of Scarborough on quiet county road used only by local traffic. Although you do need the car for access with a short drive to forrest walks, interesting building, the moors, beaches, pubs and supermarkets.

A wonderful cottage in a wonderful location absolutely lovely enclosed front garden and the views all around are stunning, I've never spent so much time looking out of a kitchen window at a bird feeder, there's a good reason it's called Woodpecker Cottage, would highly recommend this property to all.

I booked this bungalow with my elderly mother in mind, myself and my sister. It was the perfect location to visit Scarborough, Bridlington, Pickering and Whitby in particular. The gardens were gorgeous and although it was called Woodpeckers Cottage I didnt expect to see any! The birds that came into the back garden each day were a joy to watch. Read moreThere is a summer house which is lovely to relax in too. The cottage is well equipped and gives a home from home feel to your stay. The farm next door sells fresh eggs and a range of fruit and vegetables from an honesty cart which we made use of. All in all we had a lovely holiday at Woodpeckers Cottage. Hide
