With built-in traditional-style, the cottage is situated in a pretty village within a mile of the coast, with its golden beaches and unspoiled towns and villages. The friendly village pub within a quarter mile walk serves great food and there are more restaurants and cafes in nearby Hunstanton (4 Miles) and Heacham, less than 3 miles away. For a taste of a traditional bucket-and-spade resort, the Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton has it all, with a superb beach, shops, and an outstanding Sea Life Centre, where you can see sharks and piranhas up close and orphaned pups in the Seal Rescue hospital. Sniff the perfumed air at the world-renowned Norfolk Lavender in Heacham where you can admire 50 acres of this delectable flower. Or stretch your legs along the historic Peddars Way trail, on the doorstep of the cottage, for a short stroll or brisk hike to join the coastal path.

This bright and roomy cottage is ideal for families and friends, offering a comfortably furnished sitting room with a wood burner where you can cosy up in the winter while watching a film on the Smart TV and a good-sized dining room for all your meals which opens on to the enclosed garden. Coffee connoisseurs will appreciate the Nespresso machine in the kitchen. Upstairs are three inviting bedrooms, one king, one double and one single, plus a bathroom with WC. Enjoy drinks and meals in the fully enclosed garden, complete with dining furniture.

The pretty village of Sedgeford is just slightly inland of the stunning Norfolk coastline and is an area of archaeological interest with rich heritage spanning over four thousand years with the discovery of an Anglo-Saxon settlement within the parish. The King William IV Country Inn & Restaurant serves quality local food enjoyed sat next to cosy log fires and with views across the surrounding countryside. The nearby village of Heacham offers cycle-hire and a popular promenade to stroll upon all the way to Hunstanton. Close by is Norfolk Lavender; take in the aroma from the glorious purple lavender filled fields or let the little ones enjoy exploring the small animal farm and Farmer Fred’s play barn. The surrounding countryside is often best explored by foot with the popular Peddars Way trail meandering the outskirts of the village. There are a variety of lovely sandy beaches close by, Old Hunstanton, Brancaster and Wells-next-the-Sea to name a few. Also, within easy reach at Titchwell and Snettisham RSPB sites which attract nature and bird enthusiasts all year round.

Lion Cottage is a great property and we will be recommending to all our friends and family. The area is great and the property is close to all amenities and then away from the hussle and bussle of busier towns, which is nice! The local bird watching is brilliant and we cant wait to return to Norfolk next year to explore some more.
