For those who enjoy history, explore the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and the ruins of Whitby Abbey. Situated on the cusp of the North York Moors National Park, where you will be spoilt for choice with walks and cycling routes for all abilities. Alternatively, take the 27-mile Cinder Track, that cusps the coast all the way down to Scarborough.
Enter through the front door on street level and find yourself in the open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen. This comfortable and cosy cottage is bright and airy with traditional features such as exposed beams. The lounge area has a comfortable sofa and armchairs situated in front of a flame-effect electric fire. Get cosy in the evenings and watch your favourite shows on the TV. Though the kitchen is compact, it has everything you need to make delicious meals before enjoying together over the dining table, which folds away for more space. Up to the first floor is the twin bedroom and family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. The second set of stairs lead up to the spacious double bedroom with plenty of storage, and the single bedroom completes the interior of the accommodation. Please note that both sets of stairs are fairly steep.
Three steps in the kitchen lead up to a door that opens onto the rear courtyard garden. This enclosed space is a lovely spot to relax after a busy day exploring, sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy the views of the beautiful Blackburn’s Yard.
