Get the whole gang together for a getaway to remember at this lovely holiday home in the charming village of Walberswick. It’s the ideal accommodation option for large families or groups of friends who want to enjoy all the traditional seaside pleasures during the day, and return to their holiday home each evening to challenge each other to table tennis tournaments in the games room. Spend long, lazy days discovering Walberswick’s lovely beach (200 metres) and enjoy gentle afternoons browsing the selection of tearooms and gift shops around the village green (0.5 miles). Alternatively, grab your hiking boots or hop on your bike and make your way to Southwold (1.5 miles) to stroll along the pier, go rowing on the boating lake, tee off for a round of golf or browse the local art galleries. Or, pack your binoculars and head to the coastal lagoons of RSPB Minsmere (8.5 miles) to spot avocets, bearded tits, bitterns and otters, or to the National Trust’s Dunwich Heath (8 miles) to see Dartford warbler, nightjar, woodlark, ant-lion and adders.
Step inside and you’ll find a welcoming entrance lobby with a small table and chairs where you can catch the afternoon sun. There’s plenty of space to slip onto a sofa to chill out with your loved ones in the large living space, which leads to a bright and cheerful conservatory that opens out onto a lovely terrace. Cook up a storm together in the chic kitchen – you’ll find everything you need to let your culinary skills shine. There’s also a handy utility room to help make hosting a breeze. On this floor, there are three bedrooms to choose from – two double bedrooms (one with an en-suite shower room and WC) and one bunk room that’s suitable for a child. A smart shower room with a WC rounds off the ground-floor layout. Head up to the first floor and you’ll discover a family suite with two bedrooms with en-suites – one king-size with fabulous views and one twin with an extra pull-out bed available that can be requested at the time of booking. Please note that access to the twin is via the shared landing with the king-size bedroom.
Outside, you have three garden areas to choose from. The large rear garden has a patio area with garden furniture outside the conservatory and kitchen, as well as a grassed area with well-established flower borders. A beech hedge divides the garden in two and, through the gate, you will find a large grassed area that’s a perfect spot for the kids to play. There is also a BBQ built into a brick surround. Step into the garage and you’ll find a games room with a table tennis table, small air hockey table and dartboard.
