This impressive, three-storey property is located in a quiet area of the popular seaside town of Southwold. Sleeping eight, this is ideal for two families or a group of friends who want to spend some relaxing time together exploring the Suffolk coast. The pretty, coastal town of Southwold has many independent shops to discover and some great restaurants serving fresh seafood as well as its iconic and colourful beach huts. A mile away are the harbour, from where you can take the pedestrian ferry (summer only) to the village of Walberswick with its picturesque beach and Denes Beach. Alternatively, you can visit Covehithe Beach and Benacre National Nature Reserve (5 miles), while Lowestoft and South Beach are 11 miles away and the National Trust Dunwich Heath is 10.5 miles away. There are also plenty of opportunities to walk along the beautiful Suffolk Coast Path, and nearby golfing and cycling are also available.

This is a chic, contemporary home, with large rooms, stylishly decorated, with bright splashes of colour in the furnishings and great attention to detail. The entrance hall has oak flooring and a staircase with oak tread steps leads to the first floor. The open-plan living room and kitchen have granite kitchen worktops and all the appliances you need to dine in style. The dining area is furnished with a beautiful oak table and the sitting room has sofas and chairs, a TV and floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading out onto the courtyard garden. All-in-all, this open-plan space is the heart of the home and the perfect place for everyone to gather. Upstairs, the first floor encompasses a spacious landing and a fabulous super-king-size bedroom with en-suite and a twin bedroom with en-suite. On the second floor there's a landing leading to a super-king-size bedroom with en-suite, a twin room with a TV and a family bathroom. All of the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and are inviting spaces to sleep.

Step outside and you'll find a pretty courtyard garden comprising a decked area with furniture and a BBQ - a lovely spot for al fresco eating and drinking in fine weather.

Great house which is equally cosy and airy for all seasons. Really comfortable shared living space with large bedrooms to give everyone their own space. Kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable and the garden was big enough for 8 adults. Location cannot be beaten, everything in Southwold on your doorstep. We have rented a few times in SouthRead morewold and this was hands down our favourite property. Hide

Really lovely, well appointed property with a pleasant back yard. Seagulls very noisy at the property from around 4am until 5.30am but by the seaside, it's something that can't be helped! Added to the charm.

Swallows is a beautiful property located just behind the high street. Everything was of a very high standard and we all commented on how comfortable the beds and pillows were. It really was a property that accommodated the 8 people it sleeps. From the seats at the table, both inside and out. The sofa area and importantly for us, enough wine glassRead morees to go round. Excellent property. Spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. In a great and convenient location for everything. There were 8 of us and there was ample room for everyone. All the bedrooms are a great size. Before we arrived we had wondered if we would be able to get our car in the garage but we did - just. We had another car in the party Read moreand there was no problem finding a space on the nearby roads. (This is in May.) We wouldn't hesitate to return. Hide

Swallows was perfectly located for a weekend in Southwold. The property is well decorated and the furniture/bedding was of very good quality - plenty of room for a party of 8 adults. We loved that the main living space was open and roomy. We would definitely like to book the house again - particularly as we visit the area on a regular basis. ThRead moree only downside was limited parking but as we don't travel via car once we arrive as we find plenty to do within walking distance - this was not an issue for us. Hide

Excellent communication from Suffolk Secrets before the stay. Cleanliness in some areas could have been better and some of the furniture and fittings are due to be replaced.
