The Granary is a fabulous dog friendly property. The interior decor is very tasteful and the pantry cupboard in the kitchen an absolute gem. The garden is nice and large for our dog to do some great zoomies and also very wildlife friendly - we heard owls and green woodpeckers nearby. The cottage is a nice balance of old and new. All the rooms are light and spacious and the property is very well fitted out inside. Was nice that there was a bottle of wine and chocolates waiting for us. Overall, very happy with everything.

The country walks from the Granary are plentiful and amazing - the location is peaceful but with close proximity to Covehithe beach - dog-friendly and the best beach in Suffolk. It's the best of both worlds.

The property information and pictures on the website need to be updated. There were no TVs in either bedroom, the kitchen table is now rectangular not round, the kitchen is a different colour, the seating outside on the patio is different, and there are no other chairs/tables in the outhouse to put out on which you could eat at. Also the garden wasRead more not 100% secure or an area fenced off to let a dog out off the lead. So not a true representation. That said, we enjoyed our stay. It is is a lovely tranquil location with a lovely garden area/patio area but still within easy reach by car to Beccles, the coast/beaches to the east and Southwold to the south. It is well presented and roomy. We felt another shower would have been better for the 4 of us, a cot being available, a wardrobe to hang items in the downstairs bedroom, a standard cafetiere/coffee machine (Nesspresso etc) and some electric fans for warmer days would only improve it. The Granary is a super cottage, tastefully appointed, spacious, characterful and very well located to explore coastal Suffolk. It is in a very quiet and peaceful rural setting with a lovely private garden, terrace and seating area which takes in the sunshine all day. Perfect for couples. We would stay there again.

Wonderfully peaceful location - a real 'get away from it all' treat yet with easy access to Southwold and Beccles. The Granary is a tastefully decorated country retreat set in private countryside, with contemporary comfortable beds made by Loaf and dressed with top quality bedding. We had a really enjoyable, relaxed week even though the weather waRead mores cool and soon fired up the log burner with a plentiful supply of logs on-site. We would certainly recommend - especially suitable for couples - and will return. Hide
