This spacious, two-storey cottage in the heart of a Suffolk seaside village is an excellent getaway for a group of friends or family who want to be near the coast and have access to local amenities. The idyllic village of Walberswick has a good selection of delightful restaurants, cafes and a shop, as well as a serene sandy beach, all within 0.5 miles of the property. On the other side of the River Blyth, you’ll find the popular town of Southwold (2 miles), where there is another beach, a pier, a golf course and a museum.
Stepping inside the kitchen, you’ll be delighted by the amount of space there is. The room is decorated with pale, neutral tones and has a farmhouse feel due to the wooden surfaces and dining table and chairs. The dual-aspect windows let in plenty of natural light. Continue into the living area, where you’ll be met with a large, exposed brick, open fire. Pops of bold colours stand out around the room, creating a lively and charming feel. Relax on one of the sofas or the armchair in front of the crackling fire while entertaining your guests with a movie on the Smart TV or a board game. Step down into the bedroom on the ground floor, which has a single bed. There is also a wet room on this floor. Upstairs are the remaining bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom has a super-king-size bed made up of zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as a twin on request. This room is spacious and also offers its own TV with an Amazon Fire Stick. The other two bedrooms comprise a king-size and a twin room – the latter can be made up as a super-king on request.
Walk through the glazed living room doors to reach the sizeable, enclosed garden which is mostly laid to lawn. Next to the house, there is a gravelled patio area; here you can find some comfortable outdoor furniture for dining alfresco with your guests.
