To make the most of this home’s fantastic location, you’ll simply have to head out on foot. You won’t have to walk more than 0.5 miles before coming across the well-known quayside, the salt marshes and sand dunes. Access the Norfolk Coast Path and take a boat trip out to Blakeney Point to see the seal colonies. Don’t forget to make the most of the fantastic birdwatching opportunities, it’s famed for being some of the best in the country. Sandy beaches can be found at Wells-next-the-Sea (9 miles) and Holkham (11.5 miles) and back in Blakeney, you can take advantage of the local pubs, restaurants and shops.

Inside the cottage, you’ll find a thoughtfully refurbished home. On the ground floor is a comfortable dining/living area with a dining table and chairs, comfortable seating, Smart TV and period features including the original cast iron range. This room also looks out onto the sunny garden. The kitchen is a compact but well-equipped space with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with an icebox. The modern bathroom with shower over the bath and WC is also found downstairs. Up the steep and winding cottage-style stairs are two light and pretty bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed and dressing table. The other is a twin room with two single beds.

Unique to this cottage is the large, south-facing, communal garden. Enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine out here and let the kids play with the peace of mind that an enclosed garden provides. Parking is available for one car in the private car park and there is additional parking in the Village Hall opposite if required.

We could not alter the heating, although a staff member had told us we could. The upstairs heating could not be adjusted. The bathroom heating was brilliant (although had to stand on a chair to use switch!). Did not realise garden was shared. Might have had dog-clashes, but none of the other properties were occupied at the time.

Fabulous area, lovely cottage and garden, near a SPAR for last minute treats, good eating establishments in the village. Dog friendly sites wherever we went.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Blakeney. The cottage is located within a very short distance of the harbour. The local Spa is well stocked and the Kings Arms is very welcoming. I parked my car in the free car park just across the road after unloading our luggage next to the cottage.
