Ramble the scenic coastal path that leads to other nearby towns like Seahouses, then refresh in Beadnell’s local pub. Seahouses (2 miles) makes a lovely day trip - visit the pretty harbour and catch a boat to spot wildlife on the National Trust’s Farne Islands. Or, spend the day at Bamburgh (5.5 miles) with its historic, seaside castle and restaurants serving local seafood.
Back at your holiday home, pass through the bright door into the spacious kitchen and dining area. There are plenty of units and surfaces for preparing meals, as well as classic oak flooring and a square dining table. A flask, picnicware and a coolbox can be found in the kitchen, for your outdoor pursuits. The lounge is a cosy space with soothing colours, underfloor heating and a TV. There’s plenty of seating across the leather corner sofa and fabric sofa, plus children’s games, books and toys. Wide double patio doors lead to the enclosed courtyard outside. The ground floor also has a double bedroom with patio doors to the courtyard and an adjacent, fully-tiled shower room. Head upstairs to find a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Finally, there is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a rustic, stable-style door.
Enjoy the courtyard to the rear of the property, accessed via steps out of the French doors from the lounge and ground-floor bedroom or the side gate which has no steps. The gravelled area is enclosed by a fence and a red brick wall, which is adorned with charming garden accessories. There’s a wooden table, eight chairs, a parasol and a charcoal BBQ, as well as a bench.
