This homely, two-storey cottage in the historic fishing village of Seahouses is excellent for a romantic break near the sea, and surrounded by natural beauty. Located on the seafront on the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this property benefits from being just 45 metres from the harbour and 0.5 miles from the beach while also being surrounded by scenic walking routes. In the village, there is a great selection of restaurants such as a bistro, pizzeria and a gastropub, and if you’re in need of any last-minute essentials, there are plenty of shops (all within 0.5 miles). Head 2.5 miles north to find the picturesque Bamburgh Castle.
As you step inside this former fisherman’s cottage, you’ll find a small porch. Continue through the porch to reach the neutral-toned open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a wooden beamed ceiling. The kitchen has farmhouse-style units with wooden surfaces, a ceramic hob and a selection of quality china and cookware. Next to the kitchen is a foldaway table and chairs as well as a sitting area. In front of the electric wood burner, there is a leather sofa and an easy chair. This cosy and romantic space is great for curling up in front of the Smart TV. Climb the cottage-style stairs to reach the first floor where you’ll find a spacious bedroom with a pitched, wooden beamed ceiling. It is a romantic and elegant room which is divided into a seating area with a small sofa and a dressing table and a sleeping area with a double bed.
Outside the front of the property, there is a small courtyard with a bench for dining alfresco.
