Space, comfort and a sprinkling of modernity... you'll find it all here at Lodge Farm Barn. Newly converted in 2018/19, this former farm barn has been completely redesigned and re-imagined to provide plentiful holiday accommodation for up to four people. With a generous open plan living area on the ground floor, you really won't feel on top of each other. The sitting area centres around the wood burner and is an ideal place to rest and relax with a glass of red, or a good novel. The shaker kitchen, complete with butler sink, has ample space for food storage and cooking and has the benefit of a fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A small breakfast table here is a good spot for catching up on the morning news, or you could of course dine at the dining table in the fully glazed garden room extension, where you can enjoy views of the garden. On this floor, you'll also find a convenient utility area, with space for muddy boots and dog leads, as well as a shower room; ideal after days spent on the beach or in the water.
The elegant oak staircase leads up to the first floor, where you will find both of the bedrooms. Comprising of one king and one twin, each bedroom has lovely views out towards the garden and trees and each has its own chest of drawers, plus a dressing table in the king and door hooks and wooden towel rails. The bathroom on this level offers guests both a shower cubicle and bath, so all tastes are catered for. Those looking to enjoy a bit of the outdoors will love the garden area that wraps around one side of the house. A selection of outdoor furniture means not only can you soak up the rays, but also dine al fresco should you wish.
Lodge Farm Barn is part of a beautiful trio of properties, with Lodge Farm Cottage (sleeps 4) and The Green Shed (sleeps 2) making it an ideal destination for group or family holidays.
Thanks to its positioning halfway between Orford and Sudbourne, Lodge Farm Barn is in an ideal location of those looking to explore. The popular coastal village of Orford is reachable by a short walk (approximately 20 minutes) and has several well established places to eat , including the well known Pump Street Bakery and Butley Oysterage as well as two dine in pubs and the Crown and Castle hotel restaurant. In addition there is the well-equipped village shop (which can take pre-orders should you wish for anything specifically), fresh and smoked fish at the quay and the butcher. There's also a vast variety of footpaths in the surrounding area, covering both farmland, woodland and coastline. We really recommend packing not only a pair of walking boots, but also a set of binoculars; the views and wildlife are stunning and you'll be sure to see something of interest.
So for a holiday in a peaceful location, just a short drive from the beautiful Suffolk coastline, you should consider Lodge Farm Barn as your next self-catering oasis. Pub: 1.1 miles, Shop: 1.1 miles.
