This a very, quiet, clean, light and airy property with magnificent views over the farm land though to Orford Ness. We loved seeing the hares of an early morning or evening. Daisy, who looks after the properties on the site was very friendly and helpful. A walk into Orford is 20 minutes each way and dinner at the Jolly Sailor was very good. Going Read morethe other way, a visit to Snape Maltings is a must. The Plough and Sail is also good. Sutton Hoo is 20 minutes away in the car and we had an enjoyable day there in brilliant sunshine. Aldeburgh was also a worthwhile and enjoyable visit. Lodge Farm is ideally placed for all these attractions. It's set right on the edge of Rendlesham Forrest. We didn't have time to explore on foot, but driving to and from Woodbridge is just lovely. Just be aware of the possibility of deer suddenly emerging into the road, as we encountered on a couple of occasions. We will be back again. Hide
