Recently restored, this cute three-bedroom end-of-terrace cottage is within easy reach of the harbour; whilst keen walkers can explore the coastal paths. A family-friendly coastal sanctuary, this retreat is just a few steps from the main coast road which overlooks the beautiful swathe of salt marshes and beyond of Brancaster Staithe. The coastal path from Brancaster Staithe to Burnham Deepdale is just 1 mile away. A 10-mile drive east you’ll find the soft sands of Wells-next-the-Sea, decorated with colourful beach huts, where you might spot a grey seal at the water’s edge at low tide. Dalegate Market, less than 1 mile away, is a major North Norfolk hub, offering boutique shops and places to eat whatever the weather.

The farmhouse-style front door welcomes you straight into the beautiful living room where the rustic black wood burner pops against the neutral décor. Cosy snuggle sofa and an additional large sofa make this the perfect nest for socialising or relaxing. The rear of the cottage opens out into a contemporary kitchen/diner with a gorgeous Belfast sink and modern appliances captured by the overhead spotlights. The dining area also features a stunning black, period fireplace and bench seating around the dining table. Soak up the sun or stargaze through the splendid all-glass conservatory with rustic tiles and additional seating. Storage can be found in the outhouse/utility room; and back through the cottage you’re met with a charming bathroom. Upstairs you’ll find the first of the bedrooms: a wonderful double room. You’ll also find another double bedroom, equally as impressive, and a final bedroom featuring bunk beds perfect for children, and an additional cloakroom with WC.

The grand doors of the conservatory open out onto the garden offering a luscious lawn and a paved patio area perfect for a BBQ. Trees and greenery encase the garden as well as a rustic stone wall for complete privacy.

Had a sunny week in Lilac Cottage. Its in a good position for buses, which run every hour and very close to two pubs, a shop and a cafe. The cottage is looking a little tired and probably in need of redecoration, but the beds are lovely and comfortable with nice bed linen. I think there would be trouble seating six people around the table too.
